“You’ve been hit by a smooth criminal…”

This past weekend was HansenFest.  Two big typhoon’s ago, back in May, we were getting all geared up to see Alien Ant Farm at SchwabFest (where we saw the awesome Lit concert last year.)  Unfortunately, Typhoon Songda caused that event to be cancelled.  We were so disappointed; after all, this was our big chance to see Alien Ant Farm (best known for their rocking remake of Michael Jackson’s “Smooth Criminal”!)

Extreme Makeover: Bubble Wrap Mailing Envelopes

I love recycling bubble wrap mailing envelopes!  Often times, the mailers we receive aren’t the size I need and of course, they have writing on the outside.  So, I’ve taken to cutting the mailers to the exact size I want and decorating them with fun deco tape from the 100-Yen!

Beni-imo Wedges

Tonight Brandon grilled us steak and I was in charge of the potato – the beni-imo (Okinawa purple sweet potato) to be specific.  We both really like sweet potato fries, so I decided to try making beni-imo wedges.  While in Okinawa, consume as much beni-imo as possible, right?

Extreme Makeover: Coupon Cover Edition

Over the past two years, I’ve been helped with my couponing by a handy coupon organizer.  Unfortunately, it was showing some wear and tear lately and the elastic closure had almost completely torn through the front cover.  I could have just bought another coupon holder, but then I thought what about making a unique cover for the holder that would make me smile every time I see it?
