Megumi, Hiromi, Maki and I had a wonderful August Sweets Day! Our sweet of choice this month: an assortment of muffins - blueberry, craisin, and banana nut!
It's always interesting having four of us cooking in my kitchen at one time. I'm very grateful for all the counter space!

Going along with the theme of trying some new cafes/restaurants, we decided to try out one of the new places at Depot Island (the new buildings behind American Village - or Okinawa Disneyland, as I call it.) Jetta Burger enticed us in with this wonderful chalkboard menu - chock full of wonderful pictures! (Our photo is only a portion of the board.)

We've seen this wonderful British double decker bus in American Village for quite some time now. Looked interesting, but when we go to American Village for a meal, we usually have a hard time choosing between our favorite Ramen shop or to Ali Baba, let alone trying a new eatery. We finally decided to try out the Double Decker with Megumi and Roger last weekend.
We had the option of sitting in their building or being seated in the bus...of course we chose the bus! And in the spirit of "go big or go home!" we climbed up the narrow stairway to sit in the enclosed top deck.
